Emirates to cut the capacity of Colombo flights

Emirates to cut the capacity of Dubai - Colombo flights for a 45 day period from 16 April 2019 due to a planned closure of Dubai Airport Runway.

 

Dubai International Airport to undertake a refurbishment of the Runway 12R/30L. Emirates will be cutting the capacity not only to Colombo, other destinations across the network will be affected due to runway refurbishment.

 

The Northern runway, 12L/30R, underwent a refurbishment four years ago which also required a prolonged withdrawal from use.

 

Emirates is planning to terminate the Daily flight EK 348/349 which operates on the route: Dubai to Colombo to Singapore vice versa, for a 45 day period. Due to the termination of flight EK348/349, the overall Colombo flights will be reduced from 28 weekly to 21 weekly.

DXB-CMB - 10:10 - 16:10 - EK654 - B777 - DAILY
DXB-CMB - 02:35 - 08:35 - EK650 - B777 - DAILY
DXB-CMB - 09:45 - 18:30 - EK652 - B777 - DAILY VIA MLE

CMB-DXB - 10:05 - 12:55 - EK651 - B777 - DAILY
CMB-DXB - 22:10 - 01:00 - EK655 - B777 - DAILY
CMB-DXB - 20:35 - 02:00 - EK653 - B777 - DAILY VIA MLE
